announced that the company and its controlled subsidiaries
ZTECorporationSouthAfrica (PTY) Limited has been with the South
African operator CelC (PTY) LTD. And its holding Shareholders
OGERTELECOM (SOUTH AFRICA) (PTY) Limited entered into a master supply
of equipment (NetworkSupplyAgreement) and managed operation and
maintenance contracts.
Under the contract, ZTE will provide operators in South Africa about
378 million U.S. dollars the total amount of the GSM / UMTS network of
turnkey projects and operation and maintenance services. The contract
includes the daily business operations with the ZTE-related product
sales and engineering services has now been signed by authorized
representatives of the parties, and the entry into force have been
met.
It is understood that South Africa has more than 48 million people, as
Africa's richest countries, its 2008 per capita GDP of about 5500 U.S.
dollars, but also the world's top 20 telecom markets. CelC is South
Africa, one of the three major carriers, but also in South Africa, the
first dual-mode network operators GSM900M/1800M mobile operators.

more than 7.4 million customers.
